On August 19th Sue Comis, Project Manager for Sound Transit, was our guest. We had an update on the plans for Light Rail throughout the entire region and members were able to ask questions
On July 15th our guest speaker was Lloyd Hara, King County Assessor. He discussed the ins and outs of property assessments, appeals and other property related items. Members had an opportunity to listen to information relevant to their business as well as ask important questions.
On June 24th about 10 members and affiliated agents from the IBA had an opportunity to go on a personal tour of Fish Singer Place in Shoreline, hosted by Martha Rose from Martha Rose Construction. It was an educational and eye-opening experience for most of us. We were able to see firsthand the remarkable work she has done in these new homes. The steps she has taken to lessen her impact on the environment included incorporating recycled and eco-friendly materials alongside innovative techniques, such as rain barrels, solar power and living roofs. June 17th, 2010: Members Open Forum/Roundtable Discussion - Our members shared information on the changing face of real estate; their brokerage and consumer models; asked questions of our colleagues; gave their secrets of success!
May 20th, 2010: Presentation by Jeff Van Nostran,Salal Credit Union, Senior Residential Loan Officer. He talked about the 2010 GFE and what you should know: from getting a GFE to Disclosures.
April 15th, 2010: IBA ELECTIONS, followed by Martha Rose's "Building Green" presentation
March 18th, 2010: The meeting consisted of an overview and demonstration of the new NWMLS computer system
February 18th, 2010: Steve Wild, Home Street Bank, gave an educational presentation on HUD/Escrow regulation changes and FHA's new Rehab Loans program

Your IBA was proud to sponsor Drexanne Evers, a renowned CRB instructor who talked to us about several very important and timely topics such as the value of our business, recruiting, business models from around the country and so much more. The event was held at the Laugh's Comedy Club in Kirkland on Oct. 20th, 2008.
